I was born in Sri Lanka and raised in New Jersey, growing up in a first-generation household with immigrant parents, culture, expectations… and a lot that wasn't talked about.

I got pregnant my last year of college, got married because that's what you were "supposed" to do, and spent years in a marriage that I eventually had to walk away from.

After that, I was raising three kids on my own, figuring out work, money, and life at the same time. There was no roadmap — I just learned as I went.

Now my kids are older, and I'm in a completely different phase of life. And I've realized… there's still so much we don't talk about.

Love, relationships, dating later in life, family dynamics, culture, expectations, starting over — all of it.
